Corrections & Contact Policy

This website is built from official public legal documents and commercial aggregator service data based on legal documents.

Searches on the internet found official public legal documents from the Oregon State Law Library and other legal websites. Wherever this page states a fact about a court case, that fact should be traceable to one of those records. You can read the sources for yourself and make up your own mind what to think.

If something on this page is factually wrong, it will be corrected.

This page distinguishes between facts stated from records and interpretations drawn from them. If you believe a stated fact is wrong, send:

  1. The exact passage you believe is wrong.
  2. The correction you believe is correct.
  3. The official public record or certified court document that supports your correction.

A correction supported by an official record will be made promptly, and the correction will be dated so readers can see what changed and when. Corrections will not be made silently — the original text and the correction will both be visible, so the record of the change is itself public.

Differences of interpretation are not corrections.

This page sometimes draws inferences where the records are incomplete — for example, where the public records reviewed do not show an incarceration record. If the records do not establish a result, the page says so, and it will continue to say so unless a specific record establishes otherwise. A disagreement with an inference, without a supporting record, is not a factual error.

Set-aside orders.

If a court has entered an order setting aside a conviction or record of arrest under ORS 137.225, and a certified copy of that order is provided, this page will review the order and update the affected content accordingly. An assertion that a set-aside occurred, without the order itself, will not change what the page reports. The page will not imply a result without proof — in either direction.

What will not be removed.

This page will not remove truthful, record-based content because the subject of the records, or anyone else, finds it embarrassing or inconvenient. Public records are public records.

This page is not legal advice.

Nothing on this website is legal advice, and nothing here is a legal conclusion about any person's case. Statutes such as ORS 137.225 are cited so readers can read the law for themselves.
